Visions of the Cross

Organization Description

Using proven therapeutic drug and alcohol education and counseling methods, Visions’ is designed to provide a peaceful, faith-based, family environment offering an intensive residential recovery program for adult (and dual-diagnosed) men and women, and women or men with children, outpatient for men and women and transitional housing for men and women.  
     A faith-based, therapeutic recovery community, Visions specializes in comprehensive treatment services to heal the ‘whole’ person and encourage positive change. Our clients learn the skills to solve emotional and behavioral problems, address relationship issues, and improve their quality of life.

Program Information

Visions of the Cross offers the opportunity for students to learn professional, social work practice of enhanced case management, housing navigation, substance use treatment, individual and group AOD counseling, addressing social determinants of health, ASAM, coordinating a multidisciplinary patient care approach. We also provide training on different counseling theories and practice. 

It is helpful for a student to have a team based approach, be open minded, trainable, compassionate, have a strong work ethic, good typing/computer skills, and be flexible. 

Health & Safety

A student may encounter a client who is in a mental health crisis, be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Clients who may have been evicted from housing and need immediate assistance.
