California Park Rehabilitation Hospital is a 90-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in short-term inpatient and long-term care. 

Program Information

BSW student interns at California Park Rehabilitation Hospital can expect to develop leadership skills, health navigation, MediCare quality reporting, resident right's, PCC charting, transition planning, and case management. Students will learn how to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing staff, physician, social worker, dietician, therapists, and support staff). 

Structured days preferred. The student intern should be able to take initiative and be able to handle stressful situations. They should also be willing to ask questions and seek help as needed.

There is a risk associated with working in a clinical setting. This can include exposure to communicable diseases as well as physically combative residents.
