Opportunity Summary 

The student will be able to work 1-3 days a week in a warehouse that receives food donated from several local agencies to assist with low income families. The student can try all task available if they desire and will learn pre-employment tasks to prepare them for future work. They will be eligible for a letter of reference for future employment.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

This position will provide instruction on food safety, food recovery topics, and the laws about food waste in California. The person who does this role will have the opportunity to interact with people from several different cultures. Students will learn that asking for help is a positive response as worker and as a person going through a difficult life experience.
