Opportunity Summary 

This is a leadership position within Planned Parenthood Generation Action is a movement of young people across identities and issues that organize with, by, and for their generation in order to achieve reproductive freedom. Gen Action works to leverage their expertise in youth organizing, leadership development, voter engagement programs, and infrastructure building to motivate, empower, train, and provide resources to support young people, the Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte affiliate, and community partners. Students will learn invaluable skills that will transfer to any career, particularly if they are interested in working at a Planned Parenthood affiliate. PPGenAction serves as a conduit to gainful employment and healthier campus communities.

Opportunity Training 

Ongoing training and support on the basics of community organizing, managing suspicious interactions, and state/local lobbying

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Student may be required to lift up to 25lbs. Student will be trained on managing suspicious encounters as our mission can be controversial. Any threatsening interactions should be reported to sit supervisor and campus administration.
