By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned how to manage and optimize operational workflows in a fast-paced agribusiness setting, apply inventory and supply chain principles, contribute to sustainability-focused practices, and gain firsthand experience in planning, coordination, and process improvement within a real-world startup environment.
Students will receive hands-on training in inventory management, production scheduling, quality assurance, and supply chain coordination tailored to microgreen farming operations. They will be introduced to LeafyVeda’s standard operating procedures, sustainability protocols, and data tracking systems. The internship will start with a structured orientation covering our operational workflow, safety standards, and efficiency practices. Ongoing mentorship from the founders and operations leads will provide students with regular feedback, skill development sessions, and exposure to real-time decision-making processes to ensure they are fully supported throughout their experience.
At LeafyVeda, safety is a top priority. Interns will be trained on proper handling of agricultural equipment, safe lifting techniques, and sanitation protocols for food production. All tasks will be conducted in a controlled indoor farming environment, minimizing exposure to outdoor hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and masks, will be provided as needed. Interns will also be briefed on emergency procedures, including fire safety and first aid protocols. Compliance with all workplace safety guidelines will be mandatory to ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment.
