Good News Rescue Mission

Program Information

Good News Rescue Mission offers a wide range of services that will prepare students in the field of social work. Learning opportunities include interviewing, intakes, crisis managment, one-on-one case management and counseling. Student interns will be able to apply learned skills to many different departments ranging from emergency shelter, food, housing, recovery program, sober living, micro shelters and temporary resource center. Students will learn how to work in micro, mezzo, and macro levels depending on the situation. 

The ideal student intern will be eager to learn and willing to put in extra effot to help the population we serve. We want students who are willing to ask questions and challenge the why's to what we do. Students who are prepared to deal with a population that is sometimes resistent to change or help.
