Are you interested in working with children and young adults, while furthering your career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)? Bridge for Kids has openings for Behavior Therapists and Case Managers in Los Angeles, West LA, Orange County and surrounding areas.
Bridge for Kids provides services based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism and other developmental disabilities, and typically developing children requiring assistance. We utilize evidence-based ABA techniques including Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Incidental Teaching, Natural Environment Training (NET), and Verbal Behavior to aid in skill acquisition.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in ABA, education, psychology, child development, or related field
- Looking for at least a one-year commitment
- Experience working with children (children with special needs preferred)
- Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass a DOJ Clearance
- Hard working, energetic, eager to learn

Tasks:
- Accurate data collection
- Building rapport and maintaining rapport with clients and families,
- Implementing programming created by a Case Manager or Clinical director
- Teaching children skill sets and replacement behaviors for socially significant problem behaviors,
- Following and implementing a Behavior Intervention Plan
- Writing accurate session notes.
- Placing all data in the correct locations.
- Following all Policies and Procedures.
-Maintaining confidentiality and following HIPPA.
Training:
Monthly All Staff meetings- Clinical trainings conducted at these meetings
RBT Training (40 hours training for certification)
Monthly RBT Mentorship meetings.
20 Hours of shadowing a trained RBT.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to implement a behavioral intervention plan (BIP), collect accurate data, follow program guides, follow crisis plans, write accurate session notes, and conduct parent trainings.
Note:
1. There is no security, however the risk should not be large enough to need security as we work with children.
2. All staff go through a 40 hour RBT training as well as trained on each individual Behavior Intervention Plan, and crisis protocol.
