Program Information

The student intern will have daily contact with students in the SEAL (Social Emotional Academic Learning) Academy (alternative education site).  They will assist with the Education for Homeless Children and Youth Grant (EHCY) and will facilitate small group sessions and individual counseling sessions.

The ideal student intern will be someone who works well with at-risk youth. Our setting can be a bit unpredictable as students become dysregulated. A person with skills at helping bring a student back to baseline would be beneficial. They would be asked to facilitate and help with behavior intervention. The idea candidate should be "relational", someone who understands the need to develop positive caring relationships with our students, staff and families.
