CCAE Theatricals, Inc.
CCAE Theatricals celebrates the human connection through theatre and education by sharing stories that illuminate the individual experience and cultivate a collective voice. Through an ecosystem of professional productions, workforce development, and creative youth development, we create theatre and engagement opportunities that inspire audiences and nurture the next generation of arts professionals.
Interns may serve diverse populations through CCAE Theatricals’ community and school-based programs. This includes elementary and middle school students in afterschool programs, in-school residencies, and school break camps (grades 2–8), as well as intergenerational participants in the Uniendo program, which connects youth and older adults through storytelling and creative expression. These groups reflect a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including individuals considered vulnerable due to age, access to resources, or lived experience. When working with minors, interns will never be placed in unsupervised one-to-one situations. They will always be paired with a trained professional—such as a teaching artist, paraeducator, or supervisor—who is present during instruction and activities. All interns complete Mandated Reporter training before engaging with minors or vulnerable populations. Additional safety protocols include sign-in/out systems, background checks for staff, and clear communication practices, ensuring a safe, supportive, and professionally supervised environment.
