Other: CEI is an all-inclusive care service program for the elderly.
What are the major social problems addressed by the agency? Housing, community resource linkages, benefits
support, emotional support/counseling, psychosocial challenges impacting care services, mental health and
substance use.

In relation to cultural competency, how will your agency assist students in developing skills and experiences in
working with diverse populations and persons with special needs?
CEI serves a highly diverse elder population, including individuals with varying racial/ethnic backgrounds,
languages and socioeconomic histories, abilities and special needs. To support students/interns in developing
cultural competency, CEI can provide a combination of structured learning, direct practice opportunities and
mentorship aligned with best practice guidelines for culturally competent care.
