The Stars’ Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) is now open. Called Acacia House, it is a 16-bed, inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services. The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility. The individuals served at this level of care are considered to be at risk of displaying challenging behaviors that preclude admission to a less restrictive environment. Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team. The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self- sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning.
