Calvary Chapel Willits

Calvary Chapel began as a simple work of teaching the Word of God and trusting the Holy Spirit to build the church. From the beginning, the focus has been verse-by-verse Bible teaching, the centrality of Jesus Christ, and a balanced openness to the work of the Holy Spirit without hype or pressure. Each Calvary Chapel functions as an independent local church, led by its pastor and supported by an elder board that provides prayer, counsel, accountability, and protection for the church, not control over its direction. These shared convictions are known as the Calvary Chapel Distinctives, originally taught by the late pastor Chuck Smith.
