Opportunity Summary

At Think Together, our mission is to partner with schools to change the odds for kids. We support students after school with homework help, enrichment activities, and a safe place to grow academically and socially. As a volunteer, you can help students during homework time, support fun learning activities, and encourage positive behavior. You do not need teaching experience. Opportunity Training

Volunteers at Think Together begin with an orientation that walks them through the program’s mission, daily routines, and safety expectations. You’ll receive guidance on how to support students during homework time, how to encourage positive behavior, and how to guide learning without simply giving answers. The training also covers appropriate boundaries and creating a safe, welcoming space for all students. Throughout your time in the program, site staff are there to support you and answer questions as they come up.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity

Safety is a top priority at Think Together. All volunteers are required to complete background clearance and follow school district and program safety policies before working with students. An orientation covers emergency procedures, supervision expectations, mandated reporting responsibilities, and professional boundaries. Students are always supervised in structured settings, and volunteers are never left alone without staff oversight. Clear sign in and sign out procedures are followed daily. In case of emergencies, site staff are trained in safety protocols and know the proper steps for communication and response. The goal is to maintain a safe, supportive environment where students can learn and grow with confidence.
