Development & Impact InternshipAt — Development & Fundraising - United Way of Santa Cruz County

The Fundraising and Community Impact Intern will support the Development team at United Way Santa Cruz County with organizing fundraising and program information, maintaining donor database records, and assisting with reporting related to grants, sponsorships, and donor communications. The intern may help update tracking spreadsheets, compile participation and outcome data, organize digital files and supporting documentation, and assist with materials used in fundraising and community impact communications.

Through this experience, the intern will gain exposure to how nonprofit fundraising and development operations support United Way Santa Cruz County’s broader community initiatives, including United4Youth, which focuses on youth leadership, education, and wellbeing, and United4Community, which strengthens access to essential resources such as 211 and other community support services across the county.

 This internship will give students hands-on exposure to nonprofit operations, development systems, and impact reporting, while helping organize quantitative and qualitative data used in grants, donor communications, and reporting that supports youth, families, and residents throughout Santa Cruz County.
