Program Information

Students have opportunities to work directly with families by conducting needs assessments, connecting families to campus and community resources, and supporting the referral process. Students will also collaborate with teaching staff, administration, and potentially outside agencies. Additional opportunities include participating in family engagement activities, conferences, and program events. These opportunities will expose students to best practice in early learning programs and family support. 

The internship may require supervision of young children. Students will need the ability to respond quickly to changing situations, students may work with children who display challenging physical behaviors such as hitting or biting.
