Opportunity Summary
- Processes requests and paperwork for legal agencies and cooperative staff.
- Answer and/or direct phone calls.
- Handle incoming and outgoing/time sensitive mail.
- Photocopy, fax and scan material as needed.
- Maintain office equipment by trouble shooting minor mechanical problems.
- Maintain paper inventory and contact vendors for service.
- Set up student due process folders and maintain information.
- Set up general office files and maintain information.
Manage daily office operations such as:
- Coordinate large deadlines and mailings.
- Coordinate office projects to assure completion and deadlines met.
- Coordinate scheduling of work.
- Schedule administrator meetings, arrange location and prepare materials.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
Increase knowledge of office practices and procedures, increase knowledge of general clerical skills, enhance ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job, gain communication skills with the developmental disabled population.
Opportunity Training
Students will receive 8 hours of training on their first day.
