Quality Improvement/Educational ActivityAt — Los Gatos Surgical Center
Support and implement a nursing synthesis project focused on perioperative staff preparedness for Local Anesthetic Toxicity (LAST). The project will include a simulation and educational activity of LAST emergency, with participant assessment before and after the activity. The experience is intended to strengthen recognition of LAST, emergency response, interdisciplinary teamwork, and application of evidence-based practices in the perioperative ambulatory setting.

1. Develop and implement evidence-based nursing- led perioperative education.

Student will receive an overview of the current practices related to the recognition and treatment of LAST, organizational workflow and simulation logistics.
The training will be provided maintaining psychological and physical safety under the direct supervision of the Medical director
