Family First

Founded in 2013, by David Charlon, MA, Family First began as a small team of BCBAs and behavior technicians dedicated to providing high-quality behavior analytic services to individuals on the autism spectrum. What started with a passion for helping families has since grown into a multidisciplinary team offering a wide range of therapeutic services, including social groups, school consultation, infant development, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)

This program nurtures early developmental milestones through play-based, individualized support for infants and their families. Using evidence-based practices, we foster sensory, motor, and cognitive growth while guiding parents in creating a positive, supportive environment for lifelong learning and well-being.

Utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help caregivers build skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This evidence-based approach addresses the effects of toxic stress and trauma—such as emotional disregulation, isolation, and relationship challenges

provides individualized, evidence-based services for children and young adults ages 2 to 22. Through a play-based and person-centered approach, we support the development of communication, social, academic, and daily living skills. Families are active partners in the process, receiving coaching and tools to reinforce progress at home, school, and in the community.

Help educational teams improve student outcomes using evidence-based behavioral practices. We offer FBAs, BIP development and coaching, PBIS training, professional development, and IEP consultations tailored for meaningful, individualized support.

This 14-week, evidence-based social skills group helps teens build confidence in making friends, handling conflict, and navigating group conversations. Each session includes real-life practice, while caregivers join concurrent coaching sessions with tools and activities to support growth at home.

offered in collaboration with the Far Northern Regional Center, supports the whole family through therapy, training, and early childhood services designed to improve outcomes for young children. The program is designed to reduce barriers by co-locating services and creating opportunities for connection, healing, and growth.

This 16-week, evidence-based program helps children ages 4–6 with autism build friendship skills through fun activities like puppet shows, role plays, and interactive lessons. While kids learn to share, take turns, and invite others to play, parents join concurrent coaching sessions to support social growth at home and in the community.

Connects children (ages 6–17) with community-based recreational programs, while providing behavioral support and social skills training from trained Social Coaches. The program promotes inclusion, independence, and meaningful social engagement by offering individualized support, transportation when needed, and coaching in natural settings. 

Meraki Preschool provides a warm, inclusive space where children learn through play and exploration. Using evidence-based practices, our team supports each child’s development—fostering creativity, social skills, and emotional growth in a nurturing environment.
