Organization Description

The Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation is an all volunteer 501 (c)(3) corporation dedicated to preserve, protect and enhance Batiquitos Lagoon. Some of the activities that we engage in through the efforts of everyone involved are: maintaining the trail, working on restoration of native and removal of invasive plants, operating the nature center, leading docent walks for school children and other groups, hosting a summer day camp, and presenting monthly speakers and nature walks on a variety of nature topics.

Health & Safety

it is a nature reserve so there will be rattlesnakes in the habitat and occasionally on the trail. Students may also be working with tools .All students will be required to sign a waiver.
