Opportunity Summary:

One of the events will be held on Saturday, March 20th – Pedestrian Safety Class from 8 AM to 10 AM

The event is organized in partnership with the Long Beach Health Department. Service Learning students will help collect questionnaires that would be distributed for completion prior to the event.  On the morning of the 20th, students will help set up the registration area and staff it.  For their service project, they are creating a survey on transportation for the Long Beach Gray Panthers that will be used to create a larger online event in August.  The students will be sitting at the registration table where Seniors will be dropping off the surveys and will push forward a raffle ticket for those who turn in a survey.

A second event is scheduled to take place on April 2, 2020

The event will be held on the island of Catalina and we will be distributing grocery gift cards and information packages and donated supplies to 100 seniors on Catalina Island.
