Opportunity Summary 

Athletic Performance Intern working with Olympic Sports including men's/women's basketball, volleyball, tennis, aquatics, and track & field. Have the opportunity to work with Division 1 athletes developing their physical preparation necessary for competition. Opportunity to gain experience working with sporting technology, sports nutrition, and implementation of training sessions.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to develop their coaching voice. How to manage and coaching a large team setting. How manage and program large teams in the athletic setting. Different opportunities that are available to them in the athletics and physical development space.

Opportunity Training 

Student will receive daily guidance from certified strength and conditioning professionals. Walking them through daily training of how to execute and coach exercises, how to manage large teams, and how to program for large teams. Training will happen on a continuous, daily basis, advancing as the student grasps and understand concepts. Daily tasks will be given in the areas of programming and team management.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Student will need to be CPR/First Aid certified. Student will be around weight room/fitness equipment.
