Upward Roots Site Leader Intern (program facilitator) - hourly, seasonal We are seeking qualified and passionate individuals for our Site Leader Intern position. This role provides direct hands-on teaching of the Upward Roots program curriculum and facilitation of youth-led service projects in an afterschool setting. Your role is to be a rock star with our youth, connect with and empower them, and impact our local communities alongside them. Site Leader Intern Summary Focus: Facilitating a weekly youth program focusing on youth-led community service and leadership development for 4th or 5th graders and/or middle schoolers, in an after-school setting. Commitment: We are seeking candidates who are available as early as August 24 through winter break and then January 7, 2025 through mid-May 2025. Semester candidates are considered, academic year-long commitment preferred. You will attend an in-person training, an on-campus orientation, and receive coaching and check-in sessions throughout. Ideally, the Site Leader Intern will begin on the date of hire and continue for the full program year through 5/17/25. This is an hourly, temporary position, with the potential for seasonal renewal. Work will be performed at school sites across Oakland at the direction of the Executive Director and Upward Roots partner site teams. There may be occasional evening and weekend paid work opportunities available, including support of program events, if interested . Envisioned schedule (up to 2 hours within each window) Tuesday: 3:00 - 5:30 pm Wednesday: 1:30 - 5:00 pm Thursday: 3:00-5:30 pm We are seeking up to 3 Site Leader Interns, to cover each program day listed above.
