Opportunity Summary 

Join our team at a HUD-subsidized senior housing community (ages 62+) where we provide daily wellness programs and social activities to support resident health, connection, and quality of life. Volunteers assist with planning and leading activities such as arts & crafts, fitness classes, game days, tech help, and community events. This role is ideal for students interested in gerontology, healthcare, psychology, human development or social work. Gain meaningful hands-on experience while making a real impact on the lives of older adults.

Opportunity Training 

this is the first response, Students will receive an initial orientation (1–2 days) covering organizational policies, safety procedures, and expectations. Training will also include hands-on instruction in case management systems, confidentiality protocols, and communication strategies for working with diverse populations. Ongoing shadowing with staff during the first two weeks will help students gain confidence before handling independent tasks.
