Opportunity Summary 

T.E.A.M. Vacaville (Together Everyone Always Matters) is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide opportunities for children and adults with special needs through curated events and community activities. We emphasize the importance of peer interactions and friendships that support our participants in overcoming barriers, providing a space where they can enjoy activities and learn skills in a way that respects and adapts to their unique abilities. Through thoughtfully designed events like our annual Carnival, Summer Swim Play, an Evening at the Pumpkin Patch, Private Movie Day, and Holiday Train Rides, our participants have overcame barriers, addressed challenges with participating in community activities, built confidence and created lifelong friendships.

Opportunity Training 

The student will get training on how to interact with participants with different development delays to better meet their needs and handle potential behavior challenges. The student will also receive training on different problem behaviors that may occur with children and adult with developmental disabilities, and how they can recognize and engage properly with participants who display them.
