Program Description: Rita da Cascia/Hazel Betsey Program provides intensive medical case management to HIV positive women and children.Founded in 1907 and rooted in our faith traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities CYO supports families, aging and disabled adults, and youth through social services and opportunities for healthy growth and development. Catholic Charities CYO serves over 30,000 Bay Area residents in need through our 30 programs in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties, including: supportive housing for homeless families and individuals living with disabling HIV/AIDS, child development centers, after-school activity programs, CYO Athletics and Camp, counseling services, immigrant and refugee services, homelessness prevention programs, youth residential programs, senior care management, and adult day care services. Catholic Charities CYO provides these services to our community’s poor and working poor families, aging and disabled adults, and youth, regardless of race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin.

Clientele Served:HIV positive women and children.We serve immigrants and refugees, low income families and seniors, youth and disabled adults.

Issues Program Addresses:Psycho-social needs including medical, housing, legal, educational, eployment financial benefits, substance abuse  and mental health resources. 

Intern Assignments:Interns work with the case management team to provide supportive direct services. They also participate in our activities program providing client transportation and direct involvement in activities.

Intern Training & Educational Opportunities: Clinical case consultation, in-service trainings and weekly supervision are provided.

Intern Benefits: (Include stipend, conferences, car, food, etc.) participation in trainings when available.

Other Special Placement Procedures or Requirements (Including Dates of Internship, Special Application Forms and Deadlines):Rotating internship dates with no formal deadline.
