Program Description: Our Senior Services Program provides outpatient psychotherapy and psycho-educational support groups for older adults and caregivers in a variety of settings including an adult day center, three low income senior living settings and as part of an interdisciplinary case management team serving older adults with chronic illnesses. Our goal is to assist older adults in coping with stresses and empower them to lead meaningful lives maintaining their independent living as long as possible.
Clientele Served: Seniors and caregivers in various settings.
Issues Program Addresses: Issues related to aging and seniors.
Intern Assignments: To work on-site and in the community with seniors providing mental health services. This includes making home visits.

Both internal at the agency and externally through community presentations

A great opportunity to gain good clinical experience and supervision while practicing at the micro level and learning about the macro level at the same time. We may be able to offer a stipend, especially if the student is bi-lingual- Spanish.
