Organization Description

The National Kidney Foundation is the leading organization in the U.S. dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and their families, and tens of millions of Americans at risk.

Program Information

Assist in an assessment and education program done in the community to help educate people on their risk factors for kidney disease, offer nutritional education, a clinical consult (MD or NP), and share resources and information on what tests to ask their care providers for that assess kidney function. Annual Medical Symposium planning and assisting with grant writing and logistics (outreach, registrations, CME paperwork tracking). NKF Authors Luncheon - work on our largest fund raiser that takes place in October.
