Organization Description

The Pediatric Asthma Clinic is a model for the treatment of innercity children with allergies and asthma. The program includes patient care, family education, training of medical and nursing students, research, and evaluation.

Program Information

Possible projects include the following work: 1)Help the community health workers with patient education 2) Assist the community health workers on home visits in the community 3) Maintain a database of our high risk asthma patients and identify trends that separate them from other patients with asthma. Responsibilites include: 1) Coordination of patient services with the community health workers during day clinics 2) Coordination of follow-up patient services with the community health worker on days there is no clinic 3)Design and maintain a database of information and statistics about our patients.
