Organization Description

Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center (A&PI Wellness Center) is the oldest non-profit HIV/AIDS services organization in North America targeting Asian & Pacific Islander (A&PI) communities. To meet the needs of our clients who are often immigrants or refugees, A&PI Wellness Center's staff speak many Asian languages including: Cantonese, Hawaiian, Hindi, Ilokano, Japanese, Malay, Mandarin, Tagalog, Vietnamese and Visayan. We believe everyone deserves to be healthy and needs access to the highest quality health care We transform lives by advancing health, wellness, and equality. We serve people of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, & immigration statuses. Our health services will always be grounded in social justice.

Program Information

Trans Thrive Interns will be responsible for Sign-in of clients who access Trans Thrive; The Clothing Closet.- Organization maintenance and assistance to clients, as well as the overall wellness and maintenance of Drop-In with the assistance of a supervisor. Trans Youth Drop-In - Receptionist during Wednesday (4:00pm- 7:00pm.) Sign-in for clients who access Candy Shop and Assistance of facilitation of drop-in.
