Organization Description

Chinatown Public Health Center (CPHC) is a community oriented public health clinic which provides accessible, comprehensive primary care and preventative health services to San Franciscans of all ages. Services include primary care clinics, children dental clinic, community health education and public health nutrition. The goal of Health Education services is to assist residents to develop skills and behaviors conducive to the development of healthy lifestyles and improvement in health status.

Program Information

Inters will assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of: 1) Cancer Awareness Resource and Education (CARE) program for Chinese speaking cancer patients and their family members. 2) Stop Smoking Classes for patients/family and community members who are trying to quit or thinking about quitting cigarettes. 3) Breast Cancer Survivors and Social Support Research Study - outreach and recruitment of chinese breast cancer women and caregivers to participate in focus groups, individual interviews, and conducting study surveys. 4) Participate and attend community planning meetings to plan for the Annual Chinatown Community Health Fair
