Organization Description

BIENVENIDOS!

Newly established in the fall of 2015, the Latin@ Center at California State University provides programming and services that are relevant and responsive to Latino/a student needs.

We serve as resource to the campus community. We celebrate and enhance the understanding of our vast and extensive Latin@ culture. We are aligned with the CSUSM mission to offer an inclusive and safe space for Latin@ Cougars to share ideas, foster cultural identity, understand social vies and “testimonies” that enhance deeper reflection, awareness, and sensitivity in understanding the resiliency of the Latin@ community. Our commitment to closing the achievement gap includes support for retention, success and graduation of Latin@ students. A holistic education at CSUSM will give further relevance to the contributions of our scholars in their perspective fields, professions, and communities.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Vamos Cougars!
