CSUSM Committee for International Research (CIR)

Organization Description

The mission of the Office of Graduate Studies and Research is to support faculty and students to foster and sustain an environment of academic excellence through a strong commitment to promote graduate education, research, creative activity, and collaborative initiatives, such as centers, institutes, and faculty-student research.

Program Information

The Committee for International Research (CIR) began as the International Research Faculty Working Group. We are CSUSM faculty who conduct research and creative activities outside of the United States. We aim to:

  • Build a community of faculty members who do international research and creative activities.
  • Develop creative ideas on how to support the international research needs of faculty
  • Strengthen relationships and communication between faculty and university resources
  • Engage in and promote interdisciplinarity across the campus.
  • Amplify and promote the amazing international research of our faculty to CSUSM, the larger community, university donors, etc.
Health & Safety

Health check/vaccination required in compliance with CSUSM vaccination policies and only applies to in-person settings. The Annual International Research Symposium will occur over Zoom. Sessions will be recorded and posted on the CIR website (university website).
