The Los Medanos College Child Study Center is dedicated to nurturing the whole child while serving as a high-quality laboratory school for the education of future early childhood professionals. Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children learn through exploration, creativity, and meaningful project-based experiences. We partner closely with families, recognizing them as children's first teachers, and offer resources, support, and collaboration to promote each child's success. At the same time, we mentor and train future early childhood educators through hands-on learning, observation, and reflection. Through developmentally appropriate practices, respect for diversity, and a commitment to fairness and belonging, we foster confident, curious learners while strengthening families and preparing the next generation of ECE professionals.
