Program Information

RCP is a two part course that teaches students to give community education presentations and advise clients regarding court procedures to clear criminal convictions. Students learn legal interviewing, counseling, ethics, reading rap sheets, performing legal research and writing, court interpreting and related skills. In the second course, students learn to assist clients in preparing and filing petitions to clear criminal convictions in court, and related tasks. Under attorney supervision, students represent between two to four clients.

Students must have taken JS 140 and/or be enrolled in JS 141 to serve at this site.
