Organization Description

We are a non-profit organization committed to creating opportunity for at-risk youth by increasing their awareness of the possibilities to lead happier, more creative and productive lives.

Program Information

Working with under-served youth helping to teach them to learn to read and catch up on reading deficits. 

  • Create curriculum, lesson plans, and/or activities (including physical or hands-on activities)
  • Engage in play or fitness activities with clients

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned:

  • How to teach someone to read.
  • How to manage a literacy program and it's schedules.
  • How to work with children in a safe, uplifting and supportive manner, while keeping them interested and having fun!
  • Insight into running a small non-profit.
