Cooking Healthy, Eating Well (CHEW)

Organization Description

San José State is your connection to a dynamic community focused on helping you shape your future. SJSU is always adapting and expanding the ways we provide high-quality education, create unique research and hands-on experiences, and immerse students in our community. For these reasons and so many others, San José State was recently named the Most Transformative University by Money Magazine.

Program Information

Aside from offering peer-led cooking classes to our student community, students have the opportunity to apply for student assistant positions in which they lead, plan, and instruct CHEW cooking classes! Part of being a CHEW student assistant involves creating menus, planning recipe testing, and other administrative work and planning involved in executing a successful CHEW semester. There are many moving parts to successfully planning CHEW that involves work both inside and outside of the kitchen.
