Organization Description

WIC is a federally-funded health and nutrition program for women, infants, and children. WIC helps families by providing nutrition education, issuing checks for healthy supplemental foods, and making referrals to healthcare and other community services. Participants must meet income guidelines and be pregnant women, new mothers, infants, or children under age five.

Program Information

Community Medical Centers, Inc. WIC provides a variety of experiences for our Interns including nutrition assessment and counseling of high risk WIC participants, class design, quality improvement projects, newsletter articles, worksite wellness projects and exposure to management tasks to name a few. Each internship rotation can be catered to the needs and interests of our Interns.
