Cordilleras Mental Health Rehabilitation Center

Organization Description

Cordilleras MHRC is a rehabilitation center for people with Mental Illnesses, we provide both sub-acute and residential services to our clients. We have consolidated our learning and experience into the Recovery-Centered Clinical System (RCCS), a richly personal, holistic, and comprehensive approach to recovery. We are under the branch of Telecare Corporation that has been providing Mental Health services for over 50 years.

Program Information

Cordilleras MHRC has the ability to provide food-service experience in the Dietary department and learn the roles of a Dietary Aide. We can provide experience in food safety & sanitation, food preparation & storage, procurement, inventory, and receiving, as well as learn basic functions of interdisciplinary health teams. Here at Cordilleras, we take an interest in students that have a passion for nutrition (specifically in the field of Dietetics) and want more experience in this field. We offer paid experience as a Dietary Aide, working closely along with the Food Service Manager, and shadowing a clinical RDN.

Health & Safety

We provide CPI holding skills during our 3-day training and orientation.

Due to being a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center, we have a variety of clients that vary in mental illnesses, and can also have criminal records. It is imperative to our organization that our employees and interning students understand or have basic knowledge of mental illness and recovery, however, we do provide training as well if the candidate comes without experience. We require a criminal background check, 2 TB tests, and the ability to pass a basic health examination. Computer skills preferred such as experience in: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
