It also operates preschool programs throughout the District. The District has 4 nurses and a Health Assistant to serve all the schools.

Program Information

Student intern will assist public health nurses and health service staff, provide general office administration, communicate with the community and families regarding public health related information and gathering data. Participate in any health related trainings or workshops.

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned: how to communicate with the community, families and multidisciplinary team effectively. How to collect and track medical information for students and staff. How to respond to emergencies in the school and community setting.
