Mount Tamalpais College is a small community college that provides an Associate of Arts degree program and College Preparatory Program, free of charge, to incarcerated students at San Quentin State Prison.

Additional requirements and/or considerations Our campus is inside San Quentin State Prison. All Mount Tamalpais College students are incarcerated. Any on-site work will take place inside San Quentin State Prison under the supervision of college staff. The student will be required to gain clearance for entering the prison, which the college will facilitate.
