Organization Description
Veggielution connects people from diverse backgrounds through food and farming to build community in East San Jose. We gather people through three types of connections essential for humanity: to our land and food, to each other in community, and across the barriers that divide us.
Health & Safety
Additional requirements and/or considerations Location is a working farm; farm equipment and tools are present and utilized.
At times, one supervisor oversees a group of 10-15 volunteers.
There is a 24 hour surveillance closed-loop system onsite; photography is allowed; because our farm is outdoors we are mindful of extreme weather events and take proper precautions.
- Must be 18 or older
- Vaccinations
- KNOWN HAZARDS: The placement requires working with any hazardous materials, heavy equipment, or heavy machinery.
- SUPERVISION: Students' supervisor be responsible for overseeing more than 8 people.
