The Outwords Archive
OUTWORDS records, preserves, and shares the stories of LGBTQ+ elders across the U.S. to build community and catalyze social change. We are an online, digital archive and remote workspace conducting oral history interviews, engaging the public in outreach, and we also oversee a growing internship-volunteer program. We are the only national organization performing this work, and our impact is tangible and powerful.
Student interns will have 4-6 hours of initial group trainings, then weekly 1 hour supervision required meetings. Much of our remote-project workflows are self-paced and asyncronous, so the majority of supervision after week 3 is done via email, zoom, and the google-drive suite.

We are a remote workplace, many of us work on PDT/PST timezones, though we have staff in CST and MST timezones. We generally operate Monday-Fridays 9-5 pm.
