Organization Description

Program Information

*Bidwell Junior High is not accepting interns for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

The population at Bidwell Jr High is junior high students, ranging in age from 10 to 14 (6th, 7th and 8th graders). 

As a student intern you will:

Meet with students on a weekly basis that have been identified as needing extra support. Students range in need from homework support to having family issues that they come in to discuss. 

Work closely with the targeted case manager and go with him/her on home visits. The case manager may also allow you to sit in with him/her when they call in students/parents and you may help plan meetings for parents. 

Participate in counseling groups.

Tutor students once a week, giving you an opportunity to work with other students and sometimes connect with the students on your caseload.
