Program Information Students will take the 40 hour Domestic Violence Certification under California Evidence Code 1037 Client Victim Privilege. They will learn how to help victims of domestic violence break the cycle of violence, and how to walk a client from crisis to self-sufficiency. They will begin work in case management, crisis intervention, facilitating support groups, teaching life skills and rehabilitating clients with disabilities, chemical dependency, poverty etc. Students will work with outside agencies including CPS, Probation, Mental Health, and all county entities related to the program participant's needs, including legal services and court escort. Students can learn policy writing, grant writing and grant management and many valuable skills based on their interests.
