Organization Description

The Roseville Joint Union High School District serves the educational needs of more than 10,000 students.

Geographically, the district includes the city of Roseville, the Granite Bay community, and a part of Antelope. It includes portions of both Placer and Sacramento counties.

The district currently operates five comprehensive high schools, a continuation school, adult school, and an independent study school.

Our high schools are responsible for educating students from three local "partner" K-8 school districts: Dry Creek, Eureka, and Roseville City school districts.

Program Information

Learning opportunities include:
Mentor youth, collect data and provide to program supervisor, assist in planning groups and activities for mentees, co-facilitate high school lunch or afterschool groups, attend and participate in all trainings as required, read and understand district truancy policy, attend monthly Student Attendance Meetings (SAM) hearing, meet and complete RJUHSD needs assessment with assigned student case load identifier as foster youth and McKinney Vento, assist with the implementation of AB-432 - Cal Fresh and help families connect to other outside community resources as applicable. 

It is desired that the student intern candidate be a self-starter who takes initiative, is a problem solver, resourceful and creative. The candidate is expected to gradually take on more responsibility over the course of the school year and move from a structured day to being able to prioritize their day and be willing to ask questions or for guidance as needed. The candidate must also possess the ability to be flexible in unpredictable situations if encountered.
