Program Information

A student can expect to learn the Public Assistance programs including but not limited to (Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKS/ Welfare to Work).  They will learn motivational interviewing skills.  I am looking for someone who can assist with strengthening partner relationships through collaborative meetings, contract review, training and outreach to internal and external constituents (Macro SW).  I am also standing up a new home visiting program for CalWORKS participants and I am looking for an intern to assist with this implementation.  This implementation will include contacting CalWORKs customers to see if they would like to be a participant, providing referrals, collaborating with Public Health to track positive outcomes, train staff and community partners and more.

Student should possess a passion for helping individuals and families.  This person should be flexible and a self-starter.
