Organization Description

The mission of the Chico Unified School District, a partnership of students, staff, families and community, is to ensure all students achieve high levels of academic and personal success, contribute to the community and confidently compete in a changing global society by engaging in quality educational programs that address diverse student needs and promote learning throughout life.

Program Information

Students will learn to work in collaboration with other professionals to provide support to middle school students and their families. This includes taking responsibility for their own caseload of students with whom they regularly meet to help in the process of identifying areas of need and developing support/intervention plans.

Students who are the best fit for this internship are resourceful, strong communicators, "go-getters", and willing to work independently with the support fom on-site staff. A great deal of autonomy is available in this internship so if you are looking to jump in, challenge yourself, and take the bull by the horns so to speak, then this internship is for you.
