Program Information

At Oroville City Elementary School District, social work student interns will gain experience working with Educational Therapists and School Counselors to support students' mental health. There will be opportunities for case management with foster and homeless students. Student interns will also work with the MTSS and Wellness Room coordinator, helping to mentor students, providing resources for them to reset and return to class.

Student interns placed at OCESD should be self starters, flexible, and able to cope with chaos. They must be able to ask for help and manage time well as school day and student needs can be unpredictable. Students placed at OCESD will need to be professional and be positive examples to our students in attitude, dress, speech, and behavior.
