Organization Description

Cloverleaf Family Counseling provides empathetic, integrative, and individualized mental health services for children, individuals, and families.

Program Information

Learning opportunities at Cloverleaf include:

  • Planning and organizing of community events including but not limited to family/children events, community cafes in apartment complexes, and other events where families gather
  • Case management/care coordination - complete phone calls, schedule appointments, screenings, needs assessments and other tools to support caregivers and children
  • Job shadowing with clinicians and working collaboratively to address the client's treatment plan through skills building and other interventions that may be appropriate 
  • Supporting with data entry and analyzing data to support current and future funding
  • Weekly reflective supervision and opportunities to support growth development through trainings and other agency/community opportunities 
  • Home visits and/or community visits with clients
  • Support with group development and co-facilitation 

The student intern should be:

  • Flexible, reliable, able to receive feedback and adapt to changes
  • Willing to be a learner and ask questions and for help 
  • Able to take initiative
  • Able to work well in a team and also able to complete tasks independently
  • Able to use the NASW Code of Ethics as their guide to engaging with clients, community, colleagues, and others
  • Willing to practice regular self reflection and open to grow and stretch out of comfort zone
  • Able to contribute to creating a healthy, healing, professional and supportive work environment
  • Have a passion to work with individuals, families, and children of all ages to support their overall wellness
  • Willing and able to work with various populations, cultures, and individuals who have experienced trauma and other impactful life events

 

Health & Safety

Home visits and community events, potentially isolated areas, however, students would never be alone in these situations. We work a lot with clients who are victims of crimes.

  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Able to do home visits
  • Own car with evidence of insurance
  • Prefer Bilingual
