GEO Reentry Services, Shasta Day Reporting Center (DRC)

Organization Description

GEO Reentry Services delivers evidence-based treatment and supervision programs for individuals on probation or parole and pretrial defendants in residential, in-custody, and non-residential reentry centers. At the core of GEO Reentry’s treatment and training is cognitive-behavioral treatment, intended to change criminal attitudes, enhance social skills, and encourage interpersonal problem-solving. By combining research-based treatment and counseling services, GEO Reentry assists community correctional agencies with important community safety efforts.

Program Information

Micro - one on one meetings with diverse population groups and different backgrounds and experiences. Providing cognitive behavioral interventions to target risk factors. Connect individuals with community resources, agencies and assist with navigating access. Facilitating skill building and problem solving to address behaviors that have resulted in involvement in the criminal justice system. Mezzo - Facilitating groups using various curriculums and interventions. Hosting events for individuals in the program (ie. recovery, employment, support). Community Connections which involves connecting groups of participants with outside resources. Representing the program in the corrections field. Macro - Understand and follow contractual obligations. Quality assurance through coaching process for groups, services and assessments. Working with the customer (Probation) to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved and expectations met.

Health & Safety

Population is moderate to high risk to commit various types of crimes and possess anti-social behaviors that may pose a risk to staff at times.
